Android or ios, which one should you pick??

Image
BlackBerry and Windows Phone are practically non-existent now, so for most of us, the choice of which phone platform to buy into comes down to choosing between iOSand Android. Since their launch in 2007 and 2008, iOS and Android respectively have had their share of fan following. It is obvious that Android dominates the smartphone market share worldwide by virtue of its presence across wider price brackets, and being offered by a variety of phone makers. Apple has consistently maintained a healthy share of the global market despite having only about a relative minuscule number of devices on sale each year.

The amazing world inside a human cell...

Image
Cell Structure and Function What is a Cell? A cell is a structure as well as a functional unit of life-Every living thing has cells: bacteria, protozoans, fungi, plants, and animals are the main group of living things. Some organisms are made up of just one cell are called uni cellular. (e.g. bacteria and protozoans), but animals, including human beings, are multi-cellular. An adult human body is composed of about 100,000,000,000,000 cells! Each cell has basic requirements to sustain it, and the body's organ systems are largely built around providing the many trillions of cells with those basic needs (such as oxygen, food, and waste removal).

Facebook to launch low-cost Wi-Fi service in India Social networking site Facebook has remained defiant about its free internet initiative Internet.org and said it is looking at innovative ways to provide connectivity in the country. Facebook vice president for mobile and global access policy Kevin Martin said at the India Economic Convention 2015 that the social-networking giant is planning to launch a special Wi-Fi service in India which would aid in subsidizing the cost of accessing internet. "We are rolling out a kind of Wi-Fi service at a lower cost which is trying to adjust cost issue in other countries and looking out to do that in India," Martin said at the convention. Martin added that Facebook's internet service would come without advertisement and videos, thereby consuming lesser bandwidth and benefiting users. He added that Facebook's connectivity lab has been working with drones and unmanned aerial vehicles to lower the cost of service to p

Benefits of onions

Image
Turns out that onions are nothing to cry over — these flavorful bulbs are packed with nutrients.  "Onions are super-healthy," said Victoria Jarzabkowski, a nutritionist with the Fitness Institute of Texas at the University of Texas at Austin. "They are excellent sources of vitamin C, sulphuric compounds, flavonoids and phytochemicals."  Phytochemicals, or phytonutrients, are naturally occurring compounds in fruits and vegetables that are able to react with the human body to trigger healthy reactions. Flavonoids are responsible for pigments in many fruits and vegetables. Studies have shown that they may help reduce the risk of Parkinson's disease, cardiovascular disease and stroke.

How much sleep do you really need???

Image
Sleep is one of the richest topics in science today: why we need it, why it can be hard to get, and how that affects everything from our athletic performance to our income. Daniel Kripke, co-director of research at the Scripps Clinic Sleep Center in La Jolla, Calif., has looked at the most important question of all. In 2002, he compared death rates among more than 1 million American adults who, as part of a study on cancer prevention, reported their average nightly amount of sleep. To many, his results were surprising, but they've since been corroborated by similar studies in Europe and East Asia. Kripke explains. Q:  How much sleep is ideal?

Indoor vs Outdoor Games , Which Should You Choose

Image
Kickball. Soccer. Mudpies. Climbing Trees. Is there anything more fun in the world than playing? Pure, child-like freedom where anything is possible and anything goes. Nowadays, much of play is indoors. Computer games. TV. PS3 (or whatever version they’re on now). Something seems to be missing: Joy? Shared connection? The carefreelaughter has been replaced by the quick jabs of a controller.
