14 Truly Bizarre World Records Indians Hold
From cultivating ear hair (eww) to making cow dung garlands (equally eww), Indians hold world records in some of the most bizarre activities known to regular people.
1. World's largest film poster.
India's most expensive film 'Bahubali' has unveiled the world's largest film poster in Kochi. S.S Rajamouli's film crew made a poster of massive 50,000 sq ft! Earlier the record was of 32,000 sq ft. Guinness officials have confirmed the record.
2. Largest yoga class.

India broke its own record with a new record on International Yoga Day. Guinness Book of World Records registered the record of largest yoga class at Rajpath with 35,985 people performing asanas at one go. It also recorded a second record for most nationalities participating in a single yoga event.
3. Longest handshake simultaneously.

A new benchmark was set in March 2012, when people in Rajkot created a world record for shaking hands simultaneously.
4. Longest ear hair.

This could actually be the weirdest record of the lot. Radhakant Bajpai holds the record for cultivating the longest ear hair. His aural fronds now measure some 25 cm and are the source of his pride.
5. Playing the National Anthem on Mount Everest.
Mountaineer Anand Bansode holds the record for being the first person to play the National Anthem on guitar at a height of 6300 m (26669 ft) above sea level at Camp 2 of Mount Everest. With this performance, he broke the record of Germany’s Musikkapelle Roggenzell who held a ten-minute-long concert with ten musicians on the Everest.
6. Longest fingernails.

Shridhar Chillal holds the world record for maintaining the longest fingernails. His longest nail is 4.25 ft long! Chillal has not cut his nails since 1952.
7. Mr. Multiple Records.

Har Prakash, aka Guinness Rishi has tattooed the flags of 305 countries on his body. He is also covered in 185 country maps, 165 mini flags and 2,985 characters. He has 22 records to his name, with feats like making the longest will in the world, delivering a pizza from New Delhi to San Francisco and carrying the highest number of tattoos on his body.
8. Fastest typing with nose.

Mohammed Khurshid Hussain is the fastest nose typist. The 23-year-old resident of Hyderabad typed 103 characters in a mere 47 seconds!
9. Most eggs broken in a minute.

Dragon Jetlee hammered 150 eggs in one minute by using just his chin! Jetlee broke the previous record of 130 eggs, held by Italian Leo Mondello.
10. Snorting fish
Yoga instructor GP Vijayakumar snorted eight fish up through his mouth and out of his nostrils in a minute.
11. Longest garland made out of cow dung cakes.

Another bizarre record established is of the longest garland made out of cow dung in Andhra Pradesh! We wonder how the judges could stand to measure the mess, which measured 2 kms!
12. Largest roti.

The largest roti was made by Shree Jalarm Mandir Jirnodhar Samitee organisation at the Jalaram Temple, Jamnagar on 15 January 2005. The roti weighed a whopping 63.99 kgs!
13. Eating the world’s hottest chilies.

Anandita Dutta Tamuly is one crazy lady! She made a Guinness World Record by eating 51 Bhut Jholokia chilies in 2 minutes! Bhut Jholokia are said to be the world’s hottest and spiciest chilies.
14. Crossing river on a zip-wire attached only by hair.

50-year-old Sailendra Nath Roy lost his life while attempting to cross a river on a zip-wire attached only to his hair. While he was halfway through the stunt, his ponytail stuck in the wheeler of the rope and he was left hanging in mid-air for about 25 minutes. Later, he died of a major cardiac arrest.
